The United States – Panama Business Councils, USPA USA and USPA Panama, were created and launched in 1994 by its President and CEO, the former ambassador of Panama to the United States, Ambassador Juan B. Sosa. The United States–Panama Business Council’s (USPA USA) policies and strategic planning office is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and its administrative office is in Houston, Texas. USPA-Panama has its headquarters in Panama City, Panama.

USPA mission is to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the United States and Panama through the creation of business opportunities, facilitating trade and investments, and to promote strategic alliances and joint ventures between the two nations.

During its years of existence, the U.S.-Panama Business Council (USPA) has actively participated in strengthening relations between the two countries and promoting business opportunities.
